  In June 2018, Jeff Alexander moved to Burlington to be our senior pastor.  Jeff grew up in east central Illinois in the small town of Potomac.  He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2009 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry.  He also went on to earn a Masters in Pastoral Ministry as well as a Masters in Pastoral Leadership.  During his time at Olivet he also played baseball for four years.

In 2010, Jeff moved to Hoopeston, IL to begin his first ministry.  For eight years, Jeff lived and ministered in Hoopeston with his wife, Hanna. Jeff and Hanna have two boys, Roy (2016) and Rome (2019). 

Administrative Assistant:  Becky Johnson

Becky grew up in Burlington and began attending First Church as a third grader – riding the church bus every Sunday.  In November 1979, she volunteered to help with clerical duties that were being done by the pastor.               

Almost thirty-nine years and six pastors later, she’s still serving in this capacity, but now is a paid staff member.  Becky was married to Perry for 40 years and has 2 children, Taylor & Ashley along with seven wonderful grandchildren: Reece, Charlotte, Elake, Lily, Benjamin, Rowan & Amelia.
